We are located at 195 Meeting House Road across from Commerce Park in the quaint town of South Chatham on Cape Cod. We are a non-denominational Evangelical church which simply means we take the Bible seriously and we believe in Jesus Christ alone as Savior and Lord. Everyone is welcome at Redemption Rock regardless of age, background, race, social status, economic status or anything. Come join us in the ministry of Jesus Christ as we endeavor to be Christ’s hands, feet and heart in today’s world. Since about 1827, the congregation of Redemption Rock (formerly First Light Church, Chatham Baptist Church and Lighthouse Bible Chapel) has been committed to ministry in Chatham with summer vacationers and permanent residents alike.
Many people on Cape Cod grew up Catholic—baptized as infants, confirmed as teens, faithful at Mass—yet still wonder, “Do I know Jesus personally?” In this respectful, clear message, Pastor Mike walks through what the Bible says about salvation by grace through faith, why rituals can’t save us, why being “born again” is essential (in the section of the Bible called John 3), what real faith looks like (Romans 10), and why Jesus alone is our mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). You’ll hear gentle but honest contrasts between church tradition and Scripture, a short true story of transformation, and simple next steps for anyone ready to move from religion to relationship.
